One thing that may be wrong: you could have put the card in the wrong way, because even though I know how to do this I still get it wrong sometimes. Another thing that might be wrong is that you could have accidentally flipped the locking switch on the side, which will cause an error message to be shown on some cameras. I doubt anything is wrong with the camera. Once, I got this message and it was because the plastic pieces on the back--in between the metal parts on the back, where the card is read--were twisted and in the way of the card being read. In this case, carefully bend these back to where they belong, out of the way of the metal part. And if they won't bend, I've had to break them off sometimes, it doesn't effect the card. One more thing that you can try to fix this error is to go into the camera's menu and select "format memory card". Most cameras will allow you to do this, and if there is something on the card's memory causing the problem, that should take care of it.
