Yes, it will work with your TV/HDTV. I just received this product and am very impressed. It has several audio in options that you can run as an "aux," so all you have to do is run your audio from your cable/satellite box into the SoundBar, then run the video to your TV, and your good to go--HDTV with killer audio.
