Updated and larger poi files from other related units(Like the 3225) do work, you can find them on the Net easily. This requires you add a memory card and slightly edit the media.cfg file in the unit to point to the file on the memory card. I run my 3100 with the 6 million poi file from more expensive Maestro units.
