No, mine did not come with a remote and I don't believe it was suppose to but as I stated in my review I was not the first person to handle the contents of the box.

No batteries allowed, there is no place to put batteries so just plug it into the outlet no transformer either. When you lose power you lose the time but you get to keep the preset stations and alarm settings.
